“We are close to concluding a deal for Sorrentino, although it will be difficult to have him at our disposal on Sunday,” Zamparini told Radio Radio.

The shot-stopper had also been linked with clubs such as Roma, Inter and Bologna, but the Rosanero appear to have won the race.

Meanwhile, Zamparini again criticised Coach Gian Piero Gasperini for demanding reinforcements.
