The Giallorossi had become Scudetto contenders, but a 4-1 loss at the San Paolo last week as well as a run of poor away results has seen them slide back down the standings.

“I have been looking for results since the first day, so nothing changes now,” insisted the Coach in his Press conference.

“The results do not always reflect our performances, as I have often been happy with the way the team played. The way I see it, balance is when we score more goals than our opponents.

“We have to try to recover lost points and do better than those in front of us. It won’t be easy, but we will try.

“In the first half of the season we proved that we can compete with everyone, so without errors we can do even better. Perfect teams do not exist.”

There is a tense history between these teams going into the Stadio Massimino on Sunday afternoon.

“The problem is usually the atmosphere around the game, but we’ll go to Catania to play and show that we are Roma,” continued Zeman.

“Catania never dominate a game in terms of possession, instead focusing on the counter-attack, so they are a typically Italian team.”

The Coach was asked whether he was in the balance after news emerged that Roma had a meeting with Pep Guardiola.

“I knew since October that they had met Guardiola. The club is free to meet whoever they want. I can meet 100 players, it doesn’t mean I will sign them all.”

Pablo Daniel Osvaldo is injured for the trip to Sicily, while Miralem Pjanic sits out a ban, so there could be changes to the line-up.
