Thomas Manfredini has thanked the Atalanta fans after eight years at the club following his move to Genoa.
The 32-year-old left the Bergamo side to join Luigi Del Neri's men, but has been moved to thank the supporters at Stadio Atleti Azzurri d'Italia as well as commenting on why he chose the Grifone.
“I want to thank the Curva Nord for the good times we spent together,” he told reporters. “They have a special place in my heart.
“I was approached by Genoa and they made me feel important, so the desire to come here was great.
“I met with the President and the Coach and now here I am – wearing the shirt of the oldest team in Italy.”
