Andrea Dossena has officially joined Palermo from Napoli on an initial six-month loan deal.

The 31-year-old has been announced as a Rosanero player until the end of the season, at which point the club will have the option to sign him outright.

A statement from Palermo read: “US Citta di Palermo have reached an agreement with SSC Napoli for the acquisition of Andrea Dossena.

“The transfer is that of a six-month loan with the right to sign the player at the end of the season.

“Dossena is currently training with Coach [Gian Piero] Gasperini and his teammates and will be presented tomorrow at 14.00 [CET].”
