Antonio Conte insists he received “a great response from everyone” after Juventus fought back to eliminate Milan from the Coppa Italia.
The Bianconeri went behind to an early Stephan El Shaarawy goal, but Sebastian Giovinco and Mirko Vucinic secured the 2-1 Quarter-Final victory in extra time.
“It is always a tough game between these two great teams and clubs who have won so much,” Conte told RAI after the final whistle.
“Our hunger was huge and I received a great response from everyone, especially as I included many players who hadn’t featured in a while.
“I told them that what happened against Sampdoria must never happen again,” he added, referring to Sunday’s 2-1 defeat to 10-man Samp.
“I compliment Marco Storari, as he played a great game in goal and I am very proud of him.”
Juventus go on to face Lazio in the Coppa Italia Semi-Final.
