Genoa sporting director Rino Foschi believes that Ciro Immobile will one day play for Napoli, but that won’t happen this season.
The Azzurri are interested in the forward who is co-owned between the Marassi outfit and Serie A champions Juventus.
“The player is not moving because we believe that he is very important for us,” Foschi told Radio CRC on Wednesday.
“If we want to avoid relegation this season then his support will be fundamental for us.
“I have spoken to Napoli director Riccardo Bigon about him, but, for now, we won’t be selling him. Saying that, I do believe that Immobile will play for the Azzurri sooner or later.”
Under-21 international Immobile was born in Torre Annunziata, a city in the province of Naples.
