Lazio reserve Juan Pablo Carrizo is the latest goalkeeper to be linked with a January move to Inter.

The Nerazzurri are searching for a new custodian given that second choice Luca Castellazzi is set for a spell on the sidelines after shoulder surgery.

Inter had contacted Chievo Verona regarding the availability of Stefano Sorrentino, but their asking price for the veteran scared them away.

According to the Gazzetta dello Sport, the 28-year-old Carrizo is now being considered as a possible target this month.

The paper even claims that Inter captain Javier Zanetti has spoken to his former Argentina teammate to test the water.

Carrizo joined Lazio in 2008 from River Plate, but he was unable to maintain his place in the first team.

He has only featured in the Coppa Italia this season after spending the second part of last season on loan at Catania.
