Fiorentina are adamant that Emiliano Viviano will not be leaving the club this month after his recent omission from the first team.
The Italian international is being linked with a switch to former side Bologna after losing the gloves to Brazilian youngster Norberto Neto.
“There is no Bologna option for Viviano,” Viola sporting director Daniele Prade noted. “He is still the third-choice goalkeeper for the Italy side…
“We believe in Viviano a lot and we have to help him, but the decision on whether he plays is down to Coach Vincenzo Montella.”
The player’s agent has also dismissed the transfer speculation. “He will continue to wear the Fiorentina shirt,” stated Claudio Vigorelli.
