Siena ‘keeper Gianluca Pegolo is hoping that Milan’s Stephan El Shaarawy let himself go during the Christmas festivities.
Pegolo will come up against the Serie A top scorer on Sunday when the Tuscan minnows travel to the Stadio Giuseppe Meazza.
“Let’s hope that he ate quite a lot of panettone – an Italian Christmas cake – and that he’s a bit heavier than he was,” the goalkeeper joked to the Gazzetta dello Sport.
El Shaarawy, still just 20, has been a revelation in the Italian top flight this season after Zlatan Ibrahimovic left in the summer for Paris Saint-Germain.
El Shaarawy, now a full Italian international, has scored 14 goals in 18 games for the Rossoneri in Serie A this term.
