Salvatore Bocchetti would only return to Serie A if an important Italian club made him an offer.
The former Genoa player is currently playing his football in Russia with Rubin Kazan, but his name is a constant in the transfer rumour mill.
“Bocchetti has a contract that expires in December 2013,” Andrea D’Amico told Sky Sport Italia in an interview.
“He’s been happy at Rubin, it has been an important experience for him, but his future path could be different.
“In order for him to return to Italy he would need an important club to sign him, one who could support the weight of his market value and wage.”
The 26-year-old, who left Genoa for Rubin in 2010 for a fee of around €15m, has been heavily linked with Juventus and Napoli in the past.
