Five-star Roma in Florida

Roma concluded their American training camp with a 5-0 victory over Orlando City, but Erik Lamela scored a brace and elbowed an opponent.

The Giallorossi have spent the last few days in Florida for their winter training and played a friendly match this evening.

Lamela scored twice in the opening 13 minutes thanks to assists by Miralem Pjanic and Alessandro Florenzi.

However, the young Argentine was substituted after the half-hour mark as punishment when he lashed out with an elbow on Boden.

Pjanic got on the scorehseet himself with a fierce right-foot strike from the outside edge of the box, then Mattia Destro chipped the goalkeeper for a fourth.

Florenzi completed the Roma rout in the second half with an angled drive, making the most of his experimental position in the trident attack.

Zdenek Zeman’s men resume their Serie A season on Sunday evening with a trip to Napoli.
