Siena have played down reports that Serie A giants Napoli are keen on signing Neto and Emanuele Calaio.
The Portuguese defender and the former Azzurri striker are both being linked with January moves to the San Paolo.
“The interest is more media hype than anything else,” sporting director Stefano Antonelli told Radio CRC on Wednesday.
“There has been no concrete interest and no opening of any real negotiations for either player with Napoli,” he continued.
Napoli need a new stopper given the recent match-fixing bans handed to Paolo Cannavaro and Gianluca Grava.
The outfit are also looking for a new striker who could replace Edinson Cavani when necessary.
