Giampaolo Pazzini believes that Milan need to tighten up at the back when Serie A resumes at the start of 2013.
Speaking after this weekend’s 4-2 defeat at Roma, the summer signing from Inter has admitted that improvements need to be made in defence.
“It’s a shame to finish the year like that,” the Italian international commented. “We really didn’t need a defeat right before Christmas…
“In general, we’ve conceded many goals and we need to improve. Conceding 14 goals from set-pieces is too much.
“Now we need to start again with the game against Siena.”
The Diavolo are one of the most prolific sides in Serie A given that only Roma, Juventus and Fiorentina have scored more than their 34 goals.
However, they’ve conceded 26 in 18 League games which is actually more than the likes of Torino, Bologna and Parma.
