Mattia Cassani is being linked with a January move to Sampdoria after becoming a peripheral figure at Fiorentina.
The Viola signed the player outright in the summer after a loan spell from Palermo, but he could be on the move again.
The Italian international has only appeared in eight Serie A ties this term and four of those have come as a substitute.
Sampdoria could be interested in the player given that new boss Delio Rossi worked with the 29-year-old in Tuscany last season.
Former club Palermo have also been linked with the former Juventus and Verona stopper.
