Fiorentina insist they would have no problem if David Pizarro opted to resume his international career with Chile.
The midfielder announced his international retirement six years ago after his country failed to qualify for the 2006 World Cup.
However, there are suggestions that he could return after Chile appointed Jorge Sampaoli as their new Coach at the start of this month.
“We would have no problems if the player returned to action with Chile,” sporting director Daniele Prade told El Mercurio. “We would agree with any decision he made.”
Pizarro has been a revelation in Serie A after the man who spent part of last season at Manchester City moved to Tuscany from Roma in the summer.
“He’s one of the most important members of our squad,” Prade continued. “We’re enthusiastic about his performances.”
