Nicklas Bendtner could be out for two to three months, forcing Juventus back on the transfer market, but there’s good news for Arturo Vidal.
The Danish international was stretchered off during last night’s 1-0 Coppa Italia victory over Cagliari.
Tests show Bendtner has suffered a lesion to the tendon of the left thigh muscle, which could keep him sidelined for up to three months.
This is a very heavy blow for the Bianconeri, as not only must they go back on the market to find another striker, but they also find themselves less able to off-load Bendtner.
He arrived in the summer on loan from Arsenal and is still looking for his first Juve goal, so was widely expected to be handed back to the Gunners in January.
Vidal also limped off during the Coppa Italia tie, but tests showed only a bruise to the right knee.
Emanuele Giaccherini pulled out during the warm-up and rested today, as he is recovering from a stomach bug.
