Napoli President Aurelio De Laurentiis has not ruled out dipping into the winter transfer market, but only with Walter Mazzarri’s say-so.
The Partenopei are currently third in the Serie A table, five points behind leaders Juventus after 16 rounds of action.
Reflecting first on last weekend’s defeat to Inter that saw the Nerazzurri leapfrog Napoli into second, De Laurentiis admitted that transfer strategy may well be discussed.
“I’d rather have had us play badly and seen us win, we have fun but then we lose,” the President told Canale 21.
“It is not good. My most recent love at first sight was Napoli, we want to get as high as possible.
“Will we move in the market? We must not spoil the balance of the dressing room, but, any improvements in the team will be made in consultation with the Coach.”
