Milan midfielder Riccardo Montolivo has wished teammate Nigel De Jong a speedy recovery after snapping his Achilles tendon yesterday.
The Dutch international was stretchered off in the Rossoneri's 4-2 win at Torino on Sunday, and the 27-year-old has admitted that he was delighted with the win, but not with his friend's long-term absence.
“It was really enjoyable going away from home and scoring four goals, “he told Milan's official website.
“Especially at a difficult place like Torino. We were all happy with the win, but sad for Nigel and the injury he suffered.
“I want to wish Nigel good luck – I hope he is back playing for us soon.”
The San Siro side have suggested that De Jong's injury could see him miss the rest of the season, whilst President Silvio Berlusconi has confirmed that they will look to replace the former Manchester City man in January.
