Siena boss Serse Cosmi has urged his club to reject any January offers for impressive defender Neto.

The Portuguese stopper, full name Luís Carlos Novo Neto, has been a revelation in Serie A since his summer move from Nacional.

The 24-year-old has subsequently caught the attention of a number of bigger clubs, with Napoli the latest to be linked.

“Neto is guaranteed to have a great future,” the tactician told Radio Mana Mana Sport on Friday afternoon.

“He surprises me on a daily basis. I hope he stays, although that is a decision that the club will ultimately have to make.”
