Alberto Paloschi has been likened to legendary Italian striker Filippo Inzaghi by Chievo Verona teammate Gennaro Sardo.
The 22-year-old has had an injury-plagued start to the season, but he netted a fine hat-trick in the 4-2 win at Genoa on Sunday.
“Alberto is an extraordinary kid and player,” Sardo noted of the forward who has four goals in four Serie A games this term.
“He plays like Pippo Inzaghi, his second goal on Sunday was an example of that. He has the future of a great champion.”
Paloschi, who has had spells at Parma and Genoa in the past, joined Chievo on loan in the summer from Milan.
The Flying Donkeys have an option to sign 50 per cent of the Italian Under-21 international’s contract at the end of the season.
