Fiorentina defender Ahmed Hegazy will miss the remainder of the season following a training ground injury yesterday.

The Egyptian centre-back suffered a knock to his right knee and reports suggest he has partial tear to the anterior cruciate ligament.

The 21-year-old, who joined the Viola this summer from Ismaily, will miss six months whilst recovering.
