Cosmi: 'Proud to be a Romanista'

Lifelong Roma fan Serse Cosmi is in awe of Francesco Totti’s form, but still believes Siena can cause an upset today. Click here for a match preview.

“I am proud to be a Romanista, but that is not all that I am,” noted the Coach. “It is the same for me as the last game or the one before that. I am focused only on picking up points to secure Siena’s safety.

“We must do well to defend in a very compact way and try to anticipate their moves. We’ll need a fantastic performance against a great team.

“Naturally, we also hope Totti has a ‘normal’ day, otherwise it’ll be tough to get anything... I don’t think Totti is running more than in previous years, but rather he is more relaxed and so does things better. Francesco is the best player in the world of his age, as there is nobody else like him.”

Siena have found their form recently and taken themselves off the foot of the table despite a six-point penalty.

“We have an identity, know what our limitations are and must continue working on them. We feel like a team and that is crucial to overcome what many would consider an insurmountable obstacle.

“Ze Eduardo and Massimo Paci are back, while Marcelo Larrondo is finally available after his ban. We have more options at our disposal and that can only be a good thing.”
