Fiorentina could find themselves with a desperate striker shortage against Sampdoria this weekend, as Stevan Jovetic, Adem Ljajic and Luca Toni are all injured.
Toni has not yet returned to full training with the squad after he spent Sunday night in hospital with head trauma due to an accidental clash with Torino defender Kamil Glik.
Ljajic was ruled out for two-to-three weeks with a thigh strain, while Jovetic is still struggling to recover fully from a muscular injury.
Alberto Aquilani and defender Michele Camporese are also out of Sunday’s game, so the only real options in attack for Vincenzo Montella are Mounir El Hamdaoui, Mati Fernandez and Haris Seferovic.
