Viola lose Ljajic for three weeks

More bad injury news for Fiorentina, who have lost Adem Ljajic for up to three weeks with a thigh strain.

The club released a statement this evening confirming that the young Serbian striker suffered a lesion to his thigh muscle during training.

Medical staff believe Ljajic will be out of action for 15-20 days.

It is a heavy blow, as Stevan Jovetic has not yet recovered from his injury and Luca Toni is resting after suffering concussion during the 2-2 draw with Torino.

The Viola take on Juve Stabia in the Coppa Italia this evening, then Sampdoria in Serie A on Sunday night.
