Marek Hamsik has warned Juventus and the rest of Italy that Napoli are serious about winning the Scudetto this season.
“We are two points shy of the leaders and everything is still up for grabs,” the attacking midfielder told Radio Marte.
“Juventus are accustomed to winning and they have consolidated their place at a certain level. But we have more hunger than they do.
“It’s a shame that we lost in Turin against Juventus. But we’ve archived that moment and we’re looking ahead.”
The Old Lady started the season as favourites, but a recent slump means that the top five are now separated by just six points.
“As well as Juventus and ourselves, there is Inter, Fiorentina, Lazio and Roma,” the former Brescia man continued.
“We are a very competitive side though. We’ve been unjustly criticised in the past, but we have never given up and we’ll look to achieve some prestigious results.
“Winning at Napoli has a special taste, I was made aware of that after we won the Coppa Italia. Just imagine if we win the title…”
Juve face Torino this weekend, while the Azzurri will play host to struggling Pescara.
