Bologna have decided to give boss Stefano Pioli a duel role by making him the club’s sporting director on an interim basis.
According to the Gazzetta dello Sport, President Albano Guaraldi and director general Roberto Zanzi have decided to give the tactician the position until the January transfer window closes.
Pioli will thus have a say in who the relegation-threatened club will look to target once the window opens at the start of 2013.
Bologna are one of three teams at the bottom of the table who are all on 11 points. They will entertain Atalanta this weekend.
