Pioli sees Coppa Italia chance

Stefano Pioli tells Bologna that tomorrow’s Coppa Italia game with Serie B promotion contenders Livorno “is an opportunity to be taken.”

The Rossoblu are propping up the table alongside Pescara and Siena, as they were beaten 1-0 by Sampdoria on Sunday.

“The last two performances from my team are close to what I’d like to see for the rest of the season,” insisted Coach Pioli.

“I am convinced that if we always put together showings like that, we can achieve our objectives.

“The Coppa Italia match against Livorno is an opportunity to be taken. I have the chance to prepare a certain group for the game, leaving the others to concentrate on the next Serie A test.

“I’m sure that those who so far haven’t had as much playing time will be able to make the most of this chance.”
