Emanuele Calaio is happy with the links with former club Napoli, but he’s negotiating a new contract with Siena.
“I’m reading that Napoli are interested and that means that he is doing well and is appreciated by the club,” agent Alessandro Moggi told Radio Kiss Kiss.
“This is undoubtedly something that is pleasing, but Napoli are not one of the many clubs who have made offers.
“At the same time though, we are discussing an extension with Siena and we are very close to doing a deal.
“I don’t know if the Azzurri are interested, but I don’t see a January transfer anyway because Siena need important players like Calaio.”
The 30-year-old, four goals in 14 games this season, joined the Tuscans in 2008 from Napoli after a three-year spell at the Stadio San Paolo.
