Milan Vice-President Adriano Galliani insists the Diavolo are on their way back – although the game against Juventus could have ended 0-0.

The Rossoneri beat the Italian champions 1-0 at San Siro on Sunday thanks to a penalty which Milan boss Massimiliano Allegri admitted was the wrong decision.

“Pep Guardiola would have said it was a penalty,” Galliani joked. “We have to understand where the arm starts.

“Without that penalty, the game would have perhaps ended 0-0 instead.”

Milan have had a problematic start to the season, but the official is optimistic that they are back on the right path.

“I’m happy,” he added. “We are starting to do well again. We already played well at Napoli and against Anderlecht.

“They seemed like our three hardest games, but this is football and we are more than satisfied with them.”

Galliani also praised two Milan players in particular for their performances. “Riccardo Montolivo demonstrated that he is a true champion. Mattia De Sciglio was also out of this world this evening.”
