“At this moment, Fiorentina are one of the strongest teams in Italy. They are second only to Juventus,” said Ventura.
“The Tuscans have scored 11 goals in their last three games and played some fantastic football. They are at peak fitness and it will take a great performance to stop them.”
There will be particular focus on Alessio Cerci, the fiery winger who arrived in the summer on loan from Fiorentina.
“He wasn’t in great shape when he arrived, but now he is doing well and we learned to make more of his talents. For him to give his contribution, it is necessary for the team to play together and set the scene.”
Toro were beaten by Roma on Monday night and have a particularly tricky run of fixtures.
“After Fiorentina we have the derby with Juventus, then a Milan side that seems to be on its way back up. They are not easy games by any means, but we will do our best to bring home some points.”
