Gasp fears Diamanti effect

Gian Piero Gasperini has a striker shortage for Palermo and knows who to fear in Bologna. “Alessandro Diamanti is public enemy number one.”

The Sicilians are without Fabrizio Miccoli, Abel Hernandez, Mauro Cetto, Andrea Mantovani, Arevalo Rios and Nicolas Bertolo for today’s visit.

“This is going to be a difficult game. We’ll try to use this appointment to end the taboo of away fixtures,” said the Coach.

“It is fundamental that we get a positive result so that we can climb up the table. I didn’t call Rios and Bertolo because they were not in good shape, but the season is long and I will need everyone over the campaign.”

It means Paulo Dybala is likely to start again after his debut Serie A brace against Sampdoria.

“Dybala is a young player with talent, but he has to be settled into the squad gradually.

“As for Bologna, Diamanti is public enemy number one. He’s the biggest danger for us.”

Palermo squad for Bologna: Benussi, Brichetto, Ujkani; Aquino, Garcia, Labrin, Milanovic, Morganella, Munoz, Pisano, Von Bergen; Barreto, Brienza, Donati, Giorgi, Ilicic, Kurtic, Sanseverino, Viola, Zahavi; Budan, Dybala
