Marco Di Vaio scored the winner as Montreal Impact visited Fiorentina for a friendly at the Stadio Franchi.
The Canadian club, which plies its trade in the MLS, came to Florence for a special test encounter this evening.
Former Bologna hitman Di Vaio was the man who decided the match after 25 minutes. It was down to a mistake from goalkeeper Neto, who picked up the Ruben Olivera backpass, so Di Vaio drilled in the free kick from inside the box.
Other familiar faces in the Montreal Impact squad included Matteo Ferrari and Alessandro Nesta.
