Hernanes: 'Juve are beatable'

Hernanes is confident Lazio can beat Juventus in Turin on Saturday. “After Inter something has broken and now we all believe we can win there.”

The Brazilian is on stunning form and still celebrating the 3-2 victory in the Rome derby.

“We did what we had to against Roma, as we were the ‘home’ side and couldn’t help but win,” said Hernanes.

“I think Lazio have been doing well for some time and it’s not a single game that changes the view of the fans. It’s always important to do well and we want to do it with Juve too.

“Now there is Juventus and we know this is a difficult place to play. If you’d asked me two weeks ago, I would’ve said it was an impossible mission and Juve were unbeatable.

“However, after Inter’s victory something has broken, maybe even subconsciously, and now we all believe that we can win there.”

Senad Lulic, Stefano Mauri and Juve’s Andrea Pirlo are all suspended for the big Saturday game, which kicks off at 17.00 GMT.

“These are three important absentees, but both teams have the strength in depth to ensure nobody is indispensable.

“If we sit and wait for Juventus, then they will eventually score a goal, so we have to play and attack them first.”
