Stephan El Shaarawy is looking forward to partnering Mario Balotelli against France tomorrow. “Now I have to prove my quality.”
The Milan striker is Serie A top scorer this season with eight goals and has been named in Cesare Prandelli’s starting XI for the international friendly.
“I am at the complete disposal of the Coach. At Milan I learned how to alternate attacking and defending phases,” he said of the 4-3-3 system.
“I hope to do well with Balotelli. Prandelli gave me all the directions and now I have to prove my quality.”
Milan are struggling towards the bottom of the table and President Silvio Berlusconi is due to come in for a morale-boosting session later this week.
“We are trying to climb up the standings, but this is a difficult time for us,” added El Shaarawy. “Berlusconi’s closeness to the team is important.”
