Daniel Pablo Osvaldo has left Italy’s training camp ahead of the friendly with France because of an ankle injury.

The Argentine-born Azzurri international has returned to Roma’s Trigoria training base after aggravating a problem he initially picked up last week in the 3-2 loss to Lazio.

Osvaldo, 26, has been in fine form this season for club and country. He’s bagged six goals in eight Serie A ties, while he has scored three goals in four World Cup qualifiers.

Italy play France at Parma on Wednesday night.
