Eugenio Corini hopes Chievo do not “get knocked down” by their 5-1 defeat to Milan.

The Flying Donkeys had been on a positive run of form and impressed in the first half at San Siro before capitulating.

“In the first half we did well, then when it was 1-1 we were too sluggish and in our strongest period of the game we conceded two goals,” said the Coach.

“It’s very disappointing about the result, which is really not fair on the lads. We knew it was going to be a difficult game, but we must not get knocked down by this result.”

Corini gave an update on defender Boukary Dramè, who was knocked unconscious for 40 seconds by an Ignazio Abate cross full-on in the face and had to be stretchered off with a neck brace.

“He is in hospital undergoing all the usual check-ups, but it does not seem to be anything serious.”
