Allegri to succeed Mazzarri?

Napoli are thinking about hiring Massimiliano Allegri if Walter Mazzarri decides to leave at the end of the season.

According to Sport Mediaset, the under-pressure Milan boss is on the shortlist of the Azzurri given the uncertainty over Mazzarri.

The latter admitted recently that he could take a year out of the game once the 2012-13 campaign comes to an end.

Allegri, who appeared for the Azzurri as a player, is set to be available after a problematic start to the new season with the Italian giants.

Another option for the Stadio San Paolo outfit is understood to be Giuseppe Sannino. He was spoken to last summer, but he eventually left Siena for Palermo instead. He was sacked after Week 3.
