Lazio defender Modibo Diakitè is “shaken” after two of his cars were set on fire amid fears Lazio ultras were behind it.

The player has not featured for the Biancocelesti so far this season, as he has been frozen out due to a contract dispute.

Last night two of his vehicles were set alight outside the place where he was staying in Cesano, on the outskirts of Rome, while his father-in-law’s car was also damaged.

“The lad is obviously very shaken by what happened, not so much for the loss of the cars as the incident which was unpredictable and unthinkable,” agent Ulisse Savini told TMW.

“He immediately realised what was happening when he saw the flames from the window.

“I don’t want to think that the contract dispute could have anything to do with this. It must’ve been the actions of a crazy arsonist.”
