Francesco Lodi has revealed that there is a bonus in his Catania contract related to the Italian national side.
“I can confirm the bonus,” said the midfielder who recently put pen to paper with the club until June 2016. “However, it was also present in my previous agreement too.
“I’ve played for the Italian Under-21 side, but I now hope to be selected for the full Italian international outfit.”
Lodi has been one of Serie A’s most consistent playmakers in recent seasons, but he’s never been called up by Cesare Prandelli.
“I’m happy at Catania,” added the former Udinese player. “I always wanted to extend my contract. The agreement is a show of faith from me by the club.”
