Francesco Totti insists that his Roma side proved a point with their thrilling 4-2 victory at Genoa on Sunday.
Having gone two goals down, Zdenek Zeman’s Giallorossi were able to turn the game around to collect a much-needed victory.
“By reversing the result against Genoa, we sent out a signal about the strength of this squad, our play and how united we are,” the captain stated.
“We started the game badly and were practically 2-0 down from the very beginning.
“There were moments of difficulty and to go from 2-0 down to 4-2 up away from home is not just a great comeback, but above all a test of character.
“That’s why I am happy with our reaction and the final score.”
Roma are fifth in the table, four points behind city rivals Lazio and eight adrift of Serie A leaders and champions Juventus.
