Roncaglia: 'I'd like to play for Italy'

Fiorentina’s Argentine defender Facundo Roncaglia has confirmed he “would like to play for Italy.”

The player arrived in Serie A this summer and has quickly become a fan favourite at the Stadio Artemio Franchi.

Roncaglia has an Italian passport due to his roots in the country and told Sportweek he could well become an ‘Oriundo.’

“If a call from Argentina does not arrive, then I would like to play for Italy.”

The 25-year-old has played for Boca Juniors, Espanyol, Estudiantes and now Fiorentina.
