The creative midfielder had been in negotiations for several weeks and put pen to paper today.

It was announced by Calcio Catania with a statement, while Lodi also posted the news on his Twitter page complete with a picture of him signing the deal.

“I want to repay the club for having faith in me, so I am tying myself to the colours that have given me so much.”

It is reported Lodi’s wages have been increased from €350,000 per season to €500,000 with extra bonuses for goals and appearances.

There does not appear to be any buy-out clause in the new contract.
