Milan Vice-President Adriano Galliani has dismissed speculation that he’s been asked to go and start negotiations with Pep Guardiola.

Reports yesterday suggested that the club official would be sent to New York to meet with the Spaniard who is enjoying a sabbatical from the game.

“There will be no trip to New York for Guardiola,” he told Sky Sport Italia. “I will go to the city at some stage, but only to go and see my daughter.”

Guardiola is liked by the Diavolo for the 2013-14 campaign as the future of current boss Massimiliano Allegri remains in doubt.

The Rossoneri have lost four of their first seven League games this season. They’ll face a tricky trip to Lazio when Serie A resumes on October 20.
