Bologna defender Cesare Natali admits he “felt like I’d been hit by a train” when hearing he’d be out for six months, but is coming to terms with the injury.

The 33-year-old will miss the rest of the season after breaking the cruciate ligament in his knee during Sunday’s game against his former club Fiorentina” data-scaytid=”4″>Fiorentina.

“Believe me, on Monday evening when they told me I’d broken the cruciate ligament, I felt like I’d been hit by a train,” Natali told the Corriere dello Sport.

“Unfortunately, this is part of the sport, even if I’d have preferred to not go through this experience.

“Over the next few months I will be helped by the great spirit of positivity that has always been part of my character. I am sure that I will recover.”
