Chievo must take on Palermo on Sunday without star striker and captain Sergio Pellissier.

The Flying Donkeys have lost their last four Serie A games on the bounce, but their hopes of ending that streak in Sicily took a heavy blow.

Pellissier is not even in the squad due to a bout of kidney stones and is currently in hospital for tests.

Chievo are also without long-term absentees Luciano, Alberto Paloschi and Lorenzo Squizzi.

This means Cyril Thereau is set to partner David Di Michele with Marco Rigoni in the trequartista role.
