Defender Damiano Ferronetti has given new club Genoa the lowdown on former employers Udinese ahead of Sunday's game.
Ferronetti returns to the Stadio Friuli for the first time since leaving earlier this summer when the Grifone take on the Zebrette in the midday kick-off.
However it's no revenge mission, as the 27-year-old only has good things to say about the northern outfit.
“In some ways I feel like a citizen of Friuli,” he told Genoa's official website. “I was there for five years.
“Udinese have had a clear vision of football over many years. They invest in youth and ultimately, someone always emerges to replace those who leave.”
Ferronetti was particularly complimentary when discussing former teammate Antonio Di Natale and Coach Francesco Guidolin.
“Toto is a fantastic striker. Maybe for 80 minutes he doesn't appear on your radar, then in a moment he is able to decide a game with one hit.
“Guidolin is a tactician who prepares games in detail, getting men behind the ball and hitting on the break.”
On his own chances of participating the fullback said: “I'm not 100 per cent yet, but I'm working to get there. I'm available if the Coach decides.”
Udinese are 14th with five points, Genoa 9th with seven.
