Well regarded Catania midfielder Francesco Lodi has confirmed that he has turned down a new contract offer.
The set piece specialist - formerly of Udinese – has repeatedly pledged his allegiance to the Etnei when linked with bigger clubs in the past, but this new revelation may reignite his suitors interest.
“The company made me a proposal for renewal which I think is inappropriate,” Lodi is quoted as saying by Calcio News 24. “Now I'm just thinking about the match against Bologna on Sunday, then on Monday I'll think about the renewal.
“I'm 28 and I want a proper deal.”
