The Roma defender has already been replaced in the squad by Federico Peluso of Atalanta” data-scaytid=”5″>Atalanta because of a thigh strain. The Cagliari” data-scaytid=”6″>Cagliari stopper has a similar injury.

Both men have undergone tests at Coverciano and neither will be available for the games against Bulgaria or Malta.

Roma midfielder Daniele De Rossi has remained in the squad despite the ankle issue that he suffered at Inter on Sunday.

De Rossi will remain in Tuscany in a bid to have him ready for at least the last of the two games which are set for Friday and Tuesday.

Meanwhile, Pazzini’s knee problem isn’t too serious, but the Milan man will be rested over the next few days.
