Former striker Pippo Inzaghi has applauded Milan’s decision to sign Nigel De Jong from Manchester City.

“He’ll be very useful,” Inzaghi, who is now a youth team Coach with the Diavolo after his contract expired in June, stated. “I’m happy that he has arrived.
“De Jong was an opponent of ours in that mythical 3-2 Champions League game and also in a number of other European ties between Ajax and Milan.”
The 27-year-old arrived in Italy on Thursday after a deal was done between the two clubs. He started his medical this morning.
