James Joseph Pallotta is the new President of Roma after Thomas Di Benedetto resigned from the position.
A statement said that Di Benedetto, who remains on the board, thought that he had fulfilled his task of steering the club through its initial phase of US ownership after its takeover.

“I would like to share my heartfelt thanks to all Roma fans,” he stated. “With the purchase of the club complete and a new management team in place, it is time for fresh leadership to take the club to the next level.
“I look forward to continuing to be part of the Roma family in the years ahead.”
The move has been expected for a few months and Pallotta is delighted to now be at the helm of the Stadio Olimpico outfit.
“It is a tremendous honour to assume the role of President for Roma,” he noted. “There is no more special club in the world.
“I accept the responsibility to lead it with a great sense of humility and determination to build it into a championship calibre organisation in every respect.”
